With the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Embassy of Georgia in the Hellenic Republic, a Georgian wine tasting and ceremonial reception were held in Athens at the historic venue “The Hellenic Armed Forces Officers' Club.”

Twenty-two Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the tasting, and their representatives were given the opportunity, within the framework of the event, to meet with local potential partners and wine professionals.

The ceremonial reception was attended by representatives of embassies of various countries accredited in Greece.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Levan Beridze, attended the event.

It is noteworthy that there is great interest in Georgian qvevri wine in the Hellenic Republic.

With the aim of diversifying Georgian wine's export markets, this is the first large-scale event in Greece focused on raising awareness and popularization.

One of the main areas of activity of the National Wine Agency is to support the promotion of Georgian wine and increase its awareness in international markets.
