Caring for, buying and giving flowers as gifts have always been relevant and continues to be so. The taste of most consumers has not changed, and they still prefer classic red roses. Anna’s Flowers founder and florist Anna Chalagashvili says that 60% of buyers want to buy a bouquet for 150-200 GEL.
According to the florist, last year a medium bouquet cost about GEL 100, but despite price hikes, most buyers still prefer such bouquets.
In Anna Chalagashvili’s words, orders are most often received from immigrants from Israel, Italy and Greece.
"Orders all over Georgia are mainly from Tbilisi, I would like to say that Georgians living abroad are active that I account for the right marketing campaign. Orders from abroad account for 30%, 70% are local orfders, where Tbilisi is the undisputed leader.
We see a certain trend, most of my clients order roses. Roses are always popular, the unchanging classics that potential buyers love. Sometimes people trust my taste, which makes me very happy.
Prices vary depending on the season and type and are constantly changing, we do not have a standard fee. The price of a small bouquet is from 70 to 100 GEL, a medium bouquet costs 150- 200 GEL, a large bouquet starts from 300 GEL. In short, it all depends on the type of flowers. I buy raw materials in Tbilisi, in Samgori, at the so-called Navtlugi flower market, they have wholesale prices that are acceptable for me. At this stage, I have a small workshop in Tbilisi, and I sell bouquets online with my own florist page," Ana Chalagashvili points out.
The florist also speaks about sales noting that prices are expected to rise by 50% in September.
She believes that constant marketing campaigns and active communication with clients help business development.
