An exit poll will be held after the election finishes at 10 pm local time.

The first results will be announced in the constituencies of Blyth and Ashington at 11:30 pm local time.

The Labour Party, headed by Keir Starmer, is predicted to win a majority of seats in the House of Commons in the 2024 UK elections.

Rishi Sunak, the current prime minister and leader of the Conservative Party, served 20 months before the parliament was dissolved on May 30, 2024. He is actively seeking a second term as prime minister.

The Conservatives were the largest party in the 2019 elections, winning 365 seats, which is now reduced to 344 after the dissolution of parliament.
