The United States has so far spent approximately $37.5 billion on military operations against Iran, according to US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Report informs.

Hegseth stated that expenditures to date were estimated at $37.5 billion, noting that this amount included all costs related to the operation as well as payments to military personnel through September 30.

Earlier, NBC News reported, citing sources, that the overall cost of the operation against Iran could range between $80 billion and $100 billion.

The US and Israel launched operations against Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, on the night of July 8, the US accused Iran of violating the terms of the agreement in the Strait of Hormuz and resumed large-scale strikes against the Islamic Republic.
