Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that the preliminary sales of apartments in the “Eagle Hills” project, located in Krtsanisi, have begun. Out of 257 apartments sold so far, 147 were purchased by Georgian citizens and 110 by foreigners.

Speaking at a government meeting, Kobakhidze noted that only 8 of the apartments were bought by citizens of Arab countries.

Regarding prices, he stated that renovated apartments were sold at $1,650 per square meter.

I would like to touch on the investment in ‘Eagle Hills.’ Preliminary apartment sales have started in Krtsanisi. You may recall that the opposition had announced a price of $15,000. They claimed to know better than the investor what the sale price of apartments and houses in Krtsanisi would be. Contrary to their announcement, the starting price for renovated apartments was $1,650 per square meter - about ten times lower than the figure they predicted. This made the apartments accessible to the average Georgian buyer,” Kobakhidze said.

He criticized the opposition’s narrative of “Arabization,” noting that they claimed Georgians would be unable to buy apartments and that all units would be sold to Arabs. “In reality, out of 257 apartments, only 8 were purchased by citizens of Arab countries. The so-called Arabization that the opposition predicted simply did not happen. I am confident that the share of Georgian buyers will increase in the future,” he added.

Kobakhidze also emphasized the broader economic impact of the project: “This unprecedented investment will enrich Georgia’s economy by 11 billion GEL and contribute an average of 700 million GEL annually to the state budget. Beyond this, it is important for tourism promotion and various aspects of economic development. Ultimately, economic growth will improve the well-being of our citizens.”
