We have seen a terrorist act, an assassination attempt in Slovakia, we have seen a terrorist act, an assassination attempt in the USA, the same handwriting, this is an international context and these forces are operating in different countries of the world, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said in response to a question relating to the alleged preparation of the murder of Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to the Prime Minister, in addition to the international context, there is also a local context and this is the National Movement.

"There is an international context, there is a local context, and considering these contexts, I think it should not be a surprise to anyone that such plans are being prepared in someone's head. Regarding the international context, there is a certain handwriting that has already become clear, we have seen a terrorist act, an assassination attempt in Slovakia, we have seen a terrorist act, an assassination attempt in the USA, the same handwriting, this is an international context and these forces are operating in different countries of the world, they have the resources to do so.

As for the local context, you know that the National Movement is ready to do anything. One of the things that characterized them when they were in power was murders, they killed young people directly on the street, dozens of young people were killed directly on the street, therefore, no one should be surprised if they conceive and prepare this type of crime. This is the international and local context, the rest should be determined by the investigation," said the Prime Minister.

When asked why Bidzina Ivanishvili could become the target of this criminal intent, Irakli Kobakhidze answered that he is the guarantee of peace and stable development of the country.

"For one simple reason - he is the main guarantor that there is peace in this country and the country is developing stably. He is the main guarantor. Therefore, it is absolutely logical that he was the main addressee of these plans, there is nothing surprising here. As for the context, here I want to recall again the phone call that was made a few months ago. It was one of the European Commissioners’ phone call, through which we were given a specific message, which the European Commissioner himself later admitted and said that he was talking about the risks of murder, he just specified that polarization would be the one to shoot," said the Prime Minister.

According to the head of the government, since the call was made directly to the Prime Minister, this is probably why the public felt that the warning was addressed directly to the Prime Minister. "Actually, the conversation was in the plural and the words were said like this - you have to be careful, look at what happened to Fico in Slovakia," Irakli Kobakhidze noted.

According to him, the risks remain until the end of the war in Ukraine.

"Risks remain as long as the war in Ukraine continues, as long as the context is like this, these risks will remain very acute in our country. Therefore, we have very high hopes for the end of the war next year. According to our calculations and hopes, the war in Ukraine should end in one year at most. As soon as this situation changes and the situation in the region calms down, the interests will be immediately rearranged and changed, this is the basis of our optimism, we have a very high hope that the war in Ukraine will end in a year at most. As soon as this happens, the risks will be qualitatively and radically reduced," said the Prime Minister on Imedi TV.
