According to the decision of the "Georgian Dream" political council, Irakli Kobakhidze will again be the candidate for the position of PM, and the faction will nominate Shalva Papuashvili as the Chairman of the parliament.

Mamuka Mdinaradze, executive secretary of "Georgian Dream", announced this at the briefing held after the session of the political council of the party.

"The session of the political council was held, where together with the current political issues, we discussed various issues until the end of the year. This concerns the candidate for the position of Prime Minister, concerns the issue of budget planning in the Parliament of Georgia, the candidacy of the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, as well as the approval of the government, and among them, also the issue of the appointment of presidential elections. As you know, according to our charter, the honorary chairman of the party has the authority to nominate a candidate for the position of prime minister, and it will probably not be a special surprise that Bidzina Ivanishvili presented Irakli Kobakhidze as a candidate for the position of prime minister, and naturally, the political council fully supported him. Also, we can say that the "Georgian Dream" faction will nominate Shalva Papuashvili for the post of Speaker of the Parliament. Also, we have gone through the budgetary issues and you know that we have ambitious plans in this direction. Also, you know that the presidential elections should be held after the first session of the Parliament. The specific term for this is determined. We will determine this date in the next few days, when the first session will be held in the Parliament of Georgia", said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
