According to the architectural service's website, "Orbi Group" has filed an application for a 3-year extension to the construction period of the "Central Park" tower on Kazbegi Avenue in Tbilisi.
The initial completion deadline for the construction of two 42-story skyscrapers was set for the end of 2025. Nevertheless, as per the latest information, Orbi Group is seeking a 36-month extension.

As reported by the company, a month ago Orbi Group signed a historic agreement with the global brand Planet Hollywood, as a result of which the project will become the first integrated resort in the Caucasus. The joint project of Orbi Group and Block Group will be a $500 million casino-hotel complex spanning 140,000 m² and featuring 1200 rooms, which will include international hotels, luxury retail, restaurants, and entertainment infrastructure.

According to the company's website, the price per square meter ranges from 6,600 to10,000 (the price is tiered according to floor level).

The industry representatives were actively engaged in discussions with "Commersant" regarding the project's influence on the capital, potential traffic problems in the section, and whether the infrastructure will be able to cope with high traffic volumes.

Mevlud Meladze, Vice-President of the Georgian Automobile Federation and a race car driver, believes that this section of the road already suffers from heavy congestion and collapses every day.

Given that several major projects are already planned, it's hard to imagine how these grand buildings will handle the traffic volume, particularly during rush hour. He says it's just not right to build a huge hotel chain downtown, where the traffic is wrong.

Irakli Izoria, who heads the Partnership for Road Safety , clarifies that when major projects are rolled out, transport infrastructure is often an afterthought. Consequently, you see cars on sidewalks, roads jammed with traffic, parking facilities experiencing improper parking, all this creates great chaos and trouble.
