The Chairman of Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives Group, Mohamed Ali Janah, considers World Tourism Day in Tbilisi a successful event for Georgia.


"This is the most important event in the tourism industry held annually. The fact that Tbilisi hosted it this year is a very positive event. I am proud that the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization is from Georgia that makes the event more important and special.

People in Georgia are very friendly. I have wanted to invest in your country for a long time. I see a lot of people coming here from the Middle East and other parts of the world.

Under the auspices of the United Nations Tourism Organization, Georgia hosted the World Tourism Day event for the first time.

Within the framework of the World Tourism Day, Georgia was visited by high-ranking guests from many countries, ministers of tourism, heads of departments and professionals in the field of tourism, in total more than 300 delegates.
