In Q2, Georgia received more than 1 billion dollars in income from tourism.
As per the National Bank’s analytical reports, the revenues from tourism in April-June exceeded 1.009 billion dollars that is 34.8% more than in the same period of 2022 - (748.8 million dollars ). It’s worth mentioning that the tourism industry recovered 115% of the pre-pandemic levels.
In 6 months, the tourism revenues exceeded 1.804 billion dollars against 1.1 billion dollars in 2022. In six months of 2019, the total income of tourism amounted to 1.4 billion dollars that is 400 million dollars less compared to January-June 2023.
