The volume of loans issued by commercial banks (except for interbank loans) in February 2024 soared by 353.94 million GEL (by 0.68%) compared to last month (without the effect of the exchange rate, a 1.09% increase) and stood at 52.24 billion GEL at the end of February.


As per February data, the largest number of loans were issued by "TBC" and " Bank of Georgia", the least number were issued by "Silk Bank" and "Ziraat Bank".

The credit portfolio of Georgian commercial banks as of February 2024 is as follows:

• TBC Bank - 20.9 billion GEL;

• Bank of Georgia - 19.8 billion GEL;

• Liberty Bank - 3 billion GEL;

Basisbank - 2.5 billion GEL;

• Credo Bank - 2 billion GEL;

Terabank - 1.3 billion GEL;

• Procredit Bank - 1.2 billion GEL;

Cartu Bank - 842 million GEL;

Halyk Bank - 697 million GEL;

• Pasha Bank - 342 million GEL;

• Isbank - 281 million GEL

• VTB - 208 million GEL;

• Ziraat Bank - 137 million GEL;

• Silk Bank - 65 million GEL;

Paysera - 0 GEL.


In the same period, the volume of loans issued in the national currency increased by 402.67 million GEL (by 1.40%), while the volume of loans issued in foreign currency declined by 48.73 million GEL (by 0.21%) (without the effect of the exchange rate, it increased by 0.70%).

By the end of February 2024, the total gross loans ratio was 55.74 percent. Compared to the end of the previous month, it increased by 0.40 percentage points (excluding the effect of the exchange rate, it increased by 0.17 percentage points).
