In 5 years Georgia’s FDI volumes amounted to $6.6 billion ( 3 quarters of 2023), remittances from abroad stood at $13.5 billion.

According to the latest statistics, in the third quarter of 2022, foreign investments worth $1.3 billion were poured into Georgia, while remittances reached $2.2 billion.

In the third quarter of 2023, investments amounted to $316 million that is 61.5% less than in the same period of last year. In the reporting period, remittances declined by 15.1%, transfers in the third quarter amounted to $871.9 million.


It’s worth mentioning that over 5 years, the volume of transfers exceeded investment volumes by 6.8 billion.
