“Scandinavian countries are interested in importing Georgian nuts,” GPR Nuts co-founder Baya Salukvadze says.
According to Salukvadze, EU countries remain the main export markets for Georgian walnuts, primarily Germany , Italy, France.
“We take part in various international exhibitions especially important for export-oriented companies. Europe hosts one of the largest exhibitions Anuga twice a year, we actively participate in it every year. Every year we return with good results, such as signing contracts, we are also in talks with new clients,” she notes.
Baya Salukvadze adds that this year's harvest in Georgia is expected to reach 40,000-45,000 tons that is slightly less than last year due to climatic conditions and bad weather.
