As part of his working visit to Georgia, Mr. Michael Mandel, the official representative of Messe Düsseldorf in Moldova, the South Caucasus, and Asian countries, met with Zurab Vacharadze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency.
Messe Düsseldorf, an exhibition center located in Düsseldorf, Germany, is the organizer of the international wine and spirits trade fair “ProWein,” held not only in Düsseldorf but also in various cities around the world.
During the meeting held at the National Wine Agency, the parties discussed the outcomes of Georgia’s long-standing participation and cooperation in ProWein exhibitions, as well as future plans. The conversation also touched upon the prospects and relevance of presenting Georgian wine at ProWein exhibitions in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brazil. The meeting was attended by Elene Kiknadze, Head of the Events and Exhibitions Division of the Agency’s Marketing and Public Relations Department.
It is noteworthy that in March of this year, within the framework of the ProWein Düsseldorf exhibition held in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, the 25th anniversary of Georgia’s participation in the event was celebrated. In addition to Düsseldorf, with the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine was also showcased at ProWein exhibitions in Japan and China.
The annual exhibition “ProWein,” whose main event is held in Düsseldorf, is the most significant occasion of the year for wine producers. Within the framework of the exhibition, producers establish new contacts, including with importers, and gain insight into modern technologies and services.
