According to General Director of the Rooms Hotel chain Valery Chekheria, the re-initiation and the situation around the bill “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” have already affected business — the hotel is deserted.

A representative of the tourism industry hopes it will all end soon noting that “our path is to Europe.”

“During these two days, our restaurants and hotels are empty, all conferences and events are cancelled. Such decisions are very painful for business. I hope this doesn't last long. Our clients are mainly organizations working in Georgia or local residents. Amid the current situation nobody is in the mood to go to a party. The situation is the same throughout Georgia, especially in Kazbegi and Tbilisi.

It pains me very much to see what is happening in the country,” Chekheria says.

In his words, the future of Georgia is only with Europe and the EU.
