APM Terminals does not recognize Economy Ministry’s decision to cancel the permit for the construction of a deep-water port in Poti, which was issued by the Technical and Construction Supervision Agency (TCSA), and wants to  appeal it in court - the company says.

A few days ago, the APM management issued a statement saying that the company's management is carefully studying the processes associated with the abolition of the permit issued on May 2 and filing a lawsuit against the Ministry of Economy is currently being  considered.

“There are certain deadlines, namely  one month,  within which the company must decide on further actions. They are defined in the decree of the Ministry of Economy to abolish the issued permit. Most likely we will use this opportunity and go to court. Now we should solve the problem and then act. There were no violations on our part, we did everything according to the law. Violations may have been made when issuing a permit, ”the Poti port management states.
