The pandemic has caused great damage to the civil aviation of Georgia.

Sakaeronavigatsiya reduced  services by 89% due to a sharp decline  in the number of flights. The company lost its main source of income - flight service fees.

The Georgia Airports Association (GAA) is also facing new challenges due to the large-scale decline in air traffic.

The Association’s revenues depend on regular flights and  the pandemic forced  to revise plans - in 2020 it was planned to receive revenue in the amount of GEL 81.1 million.

Given the current situation, the plans were revised, the estimated income decreased by 42% and amounted to GEL 34.2 million.
