In the reporting period, as the Georgian businessmen say, business development was hindered by 5 main factors such as the unstable exchange rate, legal and administrative barriers, low demand for goods and services,  staffing shortage and limited financial resources.

76% of the interviewed businessmen name the national currency rate as the  most pressing problem. Followed by administrative and legal barriers, mainly the pandemic- related  restrictions.

Compared to the 1st quarter of 2021, from a business point of view, the demand situation has improved due to the lifting of restrictions, which in turn, increased economic activity and market demand.
