Turkey, Сhina, Russia are Georgia’s top trading partners

In January-April 2022 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 5 253.7 million, 33.4 percent higher to the same period of 2021. The exports equaled USD 1 587.5 million (32.8 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 3 666.2 million (33.7 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 2 078.6 million in January-April 2022 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 39.6 percent.


In January-April 2022 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 77.3 percent. The top partners were China (USD 290.4 million), Azerbaijan (USD 168.4 million) and Russia (USD 156.4 million).

In January-April 2022 the share of the top ten trading partners by imports in the total imports of Georgia amounted to 66.0 percent. The top partners were Turkey (USD 637.8 million), Russia (USD 403.3 million) and China (USD 324.3 million).



In January-April 2022 the share of the top ten trading partners in the total external trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 68.3 percent. The top trading partners were Turkey (USD 766.3 million), China (USD 614.7 million) and Russia (USD 559.7 million).
