Two months have passed since a new draft law on gambling
was submitted to Parliament - this is the second attempt of the independent MP
Levan Gogichaishvili to ban gambling advertising in the country – the first failed
several months ago and the second draft has not yet been discussed in Parliament.
“Everyone seems to be
concerned about the problem, but when it comes to voting, the MPs either abstain on the bill or vote against to
please their party boss,” the deputy notes.
In Levan Gogichaishvili’s
words, the ruling majority openly sabotages the adoption of regulations to tighten control over the gambling business because
the gambling industry has very
influential lobbyists who are not interested in this. The gambling business finances the “black box
office” of the ruling party.
“No one can affect the
interests of online casinos with a daily turnover of several million laris. The
speaker of Parliament twice spoke at a meeting of the bureau of parliament and
promised to consider the bill in the near future, but as turned out, everyone

Gogichaishvili believes that the only way to change the
