TBC Bank's profit up 19.4% in 2018

According to the Ministry of Finance, in 2018 TBC Bank’s net profit  amounted to GEL 433.3 million which is 19.4% more than in 2017.

The bank's interest income amounted to GEL 770 million which is 28, 1% more than in 2017 -  the bank's interest costs increased by 16%.

The growth of the bank’s interest income was caused by an increase in the bank’s loan portfolio by GEL 1.8 billion and 21.3% compared to 2017.


The bank's commission income amounted to GEL 156.5 million which is 25.4% more than in 2017 - this growth was mainly caused by an increase in the number of plastic cards and an increase in the amount of their turnover by 38.7%.

As of December 31, the bank's loan portfolio amounted to GEL 10.3 billion. The bank’s net profit earned through currency exchange amounted to GEL 91.6 million.
