After today's meetings I feel that Georgia has a very good and promising future, - Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, said after meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili, chairman of the Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia, in Batumi.
Bidzina Ivanishvili thanked Donald Tusk for his friendship with Georgia and noted that participation of such a high number of high-ranking guests in the Batumi international conference once again demonstrates that Georgia is developing in the right direction.
The President of the European Council described the meeting with the leader of the ruling party as interesting and impressive and expressed hopes that with joint efforts Georgia will succeed.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Bidzina! It's a very interesting and inspiring meeting. Today, after meeting with you, your opponents, the government and the president, I feel that Georgia has a very good and hopeful future despite the existing problems. We made very open comments on the ongoing events.
Thank you for this meeting. I feel so special. I want to thank Georgian people and Georgia. I think everything is wonderful in Georgia," Donald Tusk said at the meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili.
For his part, the Chairman of the ruling party recalled the first meeting with Donald Tusk when he was Prime Minister and underlined the fact that the President of the European Council is a good friend of Georgia.
