October remittances rose 11.5%

According to the National Bank of Georgia, $ 153,208 million was transferred from abroad in October 2019 which is 11.5% more than in October of the previous year. Inflows of remittances increased compared to September by $ 3.4 million.

Russia traditionally leads in terms of money transfers, $ 37,857 million was transferred from this country in October. Italy is in the second place with $ 21,014 million followed by  Greece - $ 15,945 million. The United States ranks fourth with 15,228.  Israel is the fifth with  $ 13,591 million.  

In 2019  a total of $ 22, 456 million were transferred from Georgia abroad.
