A new wine cellar "Mtevino"
winery will be opened in Khashmi
village, the region of Kakheti on April 1. A multifunctional space - "Mtevino",
in which $ 5 million was poured, is located just 40 km from Tbilisi. The guests
will be able to taste the best wine and attend
culinary master classes.
Apart from wine tasting, the guests will stay in a 5-star hotel which can accommodate 15 visitors.
According to Natia Jijiashvili, Business Development Director at Mtevino, the cellar will include different spaces, including a meeting room for 25-persons. The project is designed for both locals and tourists.
85% of Khashmi Saperavi, Kindzmarauli, Mukuzani, Manavi Green, Rkatsiteli wines produced by Mtevino will be exported and 15% will be sold locally in 2020.
Nika Zautashvili, the founder of "Mtevino", says the company will export its wine to various countries.
“We are entering the market this year, I have been working for 8 months and have completed the construction of the factory. At the first stage 650 thousand bottles of wine will be bottled in a week.
Mtevino founder also talks about future plans noting that the company will see profits in two years.
“I plan to expand the cellar's
infrastructure next year. A swimming pool will be arranged as well as cottages will be built and next summer we’ll accept
