Most foreign businesses in Georgia are set up by the citizens of Iran

In  the last 4 years  17,122 businesses set up by foreign citizens have been operating in Georgia.

The most active are citizens of Iran, Turkey and Russia, the State Commission on  Migration Issues says.

According to the Commission, the number of companies established by foreign citizens in Georgia is constantly growing.

In 2018, companies set up by foreign nationals contributed GEL 945 million to Georgia’s budget


31% of  the companies were set up by the citizens of Iran, 14% - by the citizens of Turkey, 7% - of Russia, 6% - of India, 5% of Ukraine, and 5% of Azerbaijan.
