The Ministry of Internal
Affairs of Georgia has commented on the issue of marijuana production in
Georgia. As InterPressNews was told by the MIA, the government is working on
various regulations regarding marijuana, including strict limit on selling marijuana.
In addition, the agency confirms that the government is considering the issue of
medical marijuana production for export.
"The legislative amendments initiated by the government regarding marijuana provide strict restrictions on selling of marijuana. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prepared a draft that frames marijuana consumption within strict legal frameworks and the use of marijuana in certain places. In addition, the government is discussing the issue of marijuana production for expert purposes for preparing medical and cosmetic products, "said the Interior Ministry.
