Rustavi Azot, Georgian Manganese, RMG Gold, Georgian coal are enterprises on which depends the influx of foreign currency into the country,” Levan Vepkhvadze, executive director of the Business Association of Georgia (BAG), says.

According to Vepkhvadze, these companies are the main exporters   on which depends the influx of foreign currency into the country as well as  the lari exchange rate.

“It is very important to preserve local production in the current force majeure circumstances, especially large ones, on which the country's export potential largely depends,” he says.

Vepkhvadze notes that these enterprises continue to work observing all measures to prevent coronavirus.

“The tax benefits issue for these companies  is not on the agenda yet, but if the demand for their products in the global market drops sharply, then this issue  might be raised,” the Executive Director of the BAG  says.
