Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia says that the government will subsidize grape harvest 2020.
Prime Minister said at the governmental meeting that if necessarily, the government will purchase grapes as well.
"The grape harvest is approaching. One of the targets of the government's anti-crisis plan is Georgian village and a farmer. We did our best to support Georgian farmers during the crisis. In addition, everyone knows how winemaking has been developing in recent years. 2019 was a record year with 94 million bottles exported from Georgia”, the PM said.
According to him, the budget has already been allocated for the subsidy and the Ministry of Agriculture has received relevant instructions.
