“Georgia, from the ancient times, has always been known as a gateway between the East and the West – as one of the important transport routes linking those two parts of the world. And we still see how important Georgia’s role is within the framework of the already renovated Silk Road initiative,” – Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development told the journalists.
Turnava noted that the Forum is held for the third time this year in the Georgian capital and interest toward the event is rapidly increasing.
“The Tbilisi Silk Road Forum has become a real brand already. For the third time this year, we are hosting guests from different countries around the world. As you know, over 2000 participants from over 60 countries have arrived this year. The Forum provides grounds for different countries to discuss the future of corridors together with the representatives of governments, businesses, international financial organizations to make those corridors even more attractive, more competitive for freight transportation as well as for the transportation of the ordinary citizens, tourists, information flows,” – Natia Turnava said.
Tbilisi Silk Road Forum is a high-level dialogue between the governments and the businesses. It is also the best platform for bilateral and multilateral meetings between representatives of the governments, organizations and businesses.
Discussion Panels of the Forum will cover such important topics as international trade, transport, connectivity, energy, investments and innovation and technology, including the artificial intelligence (AI).
