Georgia’s fuel imports up in 2020

According to the Union of Oil Product Importers, in 2020 Georgia’s fuel imports amounted to 1.1 million tons that is 0.9% and 10,000 tons more than in 2019.

 

In particular, gasoline imports amounted to 540,400 tons that is 0.7% and 3,900 tons less than in 2019. Diesel imports amounted to 565,600 tons that is 13,900 tons and 2.5% more than in 2019.

 


Russia is the largest supplier of gasoline and diesel to Georgia - 342,800 tons (31% of total imports), followed by Azerbaijan (214,900 tons, 19.4%), Romania-206,900 tons (18.7%), Bulgaria- (112,000 tons, 18.7%), Turkmenistan- (104,700 tons , 9.5%), etc.
