Demand for Georgian products has increased on the global markets.
According to the National Statistical Office, export grew by 18% in January-April and totaled $ 1.133 billion.
Imports grew by 3.1% and amounted to $ 2,726 billion.
Georgia’s foreign trade turnover (excluding non-declared trade) amounted to $ 3 860.1 million in January-April 2019 that is 2.3 percent more than in the previous year. Exports increased by 17.9 percent and reached $ 1 133.4 million, while imports declined by 3.1 percent and amounted to $ 2 726.7 million. The trade deficit totaled $ 1 593.3 million and made 41.3 percent in the total trade turnover.
