Georgian Prime Minister
Mamuka Bakhtadze met on Monday with US Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn.
As the PM's press office informs, the sides discussed US-Georgia strategic
partnership and stressed the high level of bilateral political relations.
The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked Senator Cornyn for supporting the 2019
State Foreign Operations and Related Programs Appropriation Bill increasing
support for Georgia from $ 105 million to $ 125 million USD
Georgia's ongoing and
planned reforms, the country's role in the region, and the potential for
intensifying economic ties were underlined at the meeting.
The sides also discussed the regional situation and singled out Georgia as a
reliable support of the US in the region.
The meeting in the Senate was attended by Georgia's Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani and Georgia's Ambassador to the US Davit Bakradze.
