The Georgian passport has improved its position in Individual Passport Power Rank 2020 and moved from 39th place in 2019 to the 15th .
The Passport Index was updated based on travel restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Japan and New Zealand share the 1st place in the list.

The passport rating is based on freedom of movement and visa-free traveling opportunity of the passport’s holder.
Based on the rating, holders of the Georgian passport can travel visa-free to 57 countries. Visas are issued to them at the border in 35 countries and a visa is required for entry in 106 countries.
