In January-May 2022, Georgian honey export rose by 85.5%. According to Sakstat, 90.24 tons of honey worth $340.4 thousand were exported in 5 months of the current year, while in the same period of last year-  48.63 tons worth $ 151.9 thousand dollars.

The top-3 countries which bought the most Georgia natural honey this year:

Bulgaria - 67.42 tons ($195.1 thousand)

France - 14.40 tons ($80.94 thousand)

Israel - 3.57 tons ($19.66 thousand)

Apart from that, a small amount of honey was exported to the  United Arab Emirates, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia.

In 2021, a record volume of honey was exported from Georgia -172.9 tons of honey worth $ 657.3 thousand were sent  to 19 countries.
