It is well known that Turkey is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. But it is less known where the Turks travel abroad.

The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) publishes statistics for 2017.

As it turned out, the main tourist destination for the citizens of Turkey is Georgia - in 2017 it was visited by 1, 173 million Turks.


Turkish media reports that  the most beautiful city of the Black Sea coast Batumi has become a paradise for Turkish tourists, displacing North Cyprus.
