Georgia reports 7,521 new COVID-19 cases, 3,160 recoveries,31 deaths

56,367 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 38,892 antigen tests and 17,475 PCR tests, stopcov.ge reports.

As a result of the testing, 7,521 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 1,006,864.

As of January 17, the daily positive rate is 13.34%, for the last 14 days - 10% and for 7 days - 10.26%.

In the last 24 hours, 3,160 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 934,667. 31 deaths from coronavirus were in the last 24 hours. A total of 14,512 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.


Out of 7,521 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 4,171 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 801, Imereti - 792, Kvemo Kartli - 285, Shida Kartli - 380, Guria - 193, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 302, Kakheti - 263, Mtskheta - Mtianeti - 171, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 108, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -55.
