From August 1, 2020 to January 17, 2021 in total 35.4 thousand tons of tangerines worth $ 17.3 million were exported  from Georgia- the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia reports.

"In the  reported period the tangerine export volume  exceeds  the figures for 2019/2020 by  6.3 thousand tons (22%), while the export value – by  $ 2.3 million (16%).

Georgian tangerines are  mainly exported to  the Russian Federation (20.5 thousand tons), Armenia (7.6 thousand tons) and Ukraine (5.3 thousand tons). These countries are also exported to  Moldova, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, USA and Germany“, the statement reads.
