As of September 17, Georgia
exported 25,070 tons of peaches and nectarines
that is 88% more than in the same period in 2019, Ministry of Economy reports.
The largest importers are
Russia (16,527 tons), followed by Armenia (7,492), Azerbaijan (567), Kazakhstan
(1 12 9), Ukraine (111,5) and Poland (111,5 tons), Moldova (89.6 tons), Slovenia
(57.3 tons), Singapore (0.24 tons), Qatar (0.01 tons), Xianggang (Hong Kong)- 0.06 tons.
It’s worth mentioning that the revenues generated from peaches and nectarines exports are 69% higher than in the same period of last
year and amounted to $ 21.036 million.
Collecting and purchasing
peaches and nectarines is currently underway smoothly.
The government officials, phytosanitary
service and customs are actively involved in preparing the product for export.
