In
the period from August 1 to January 23,
a total of 18.4 thousand tons of
hazelnuts worth $ 84.5 million
were exported from Georgia- the Ministry of Environment Protection
and Agriculture states.
"Compared to the same period of last year, the volume of exported hazelnuts increased by 4,0 thousand tons (28%), and the value - by $ 8.3 million (11%).
Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to EU markets, namely Italy (7,621 tonnes), Germany (3,533 tonnes), Spain (522 tons), Czech Republic (467 tonnes), Poland (379 tons), Lithuania (327 tonnes), France (339 tonnes), Bulgaria (144 tonnes), Latvia (70 tonnes), Greece (71 tonnes), Belgium (41 tonnes), Estonia (60 tonnes), Hungary (22 tonnes), Croatia (20 tonnes).
