Flights have been suspended between Georgia and Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on June 21, according to which, Russian airlines are banned from operating flights to Georgia from July 8.


As for Georgian airlines, their flights will also be suspended from July 8 on the basis of the decision of the Russian Transport Ministry. According to the information released by the Ministry, the motive of their decision is provision of adequate aviation security, as well as arrears of the air companies.
