Volume of  foreign direct investment (FDI) decreased. According to the National Statistical Office’s preliminary data, FDI volume amounted to  $ 281.1 million in the 1st quarter of 2019 that is  6.3% less than in the I quarter of 2018.

A decline in  FDI volume was caused by the completion of the construction of the gas pipeline, as well as the transfer of several companies under local jurisdiction.
