Josep Borell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, welcomed the compromise agreement reached by the Georgian political parties. He said the fact was a political milestone.
“I welcome the agreement reached by political leaders in Georgia yesterday. An important political milestone. I call on all MPs to sign up, join Parliament & work with determination to implement the EU mediated agreement for the citizens of Georgia & deeper EU-Georgia relations,” Borell tweeted.
The Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
