Ombudsman Irakli Lekvinadze and Deputy Business Ombudsman Levan Kalandadze step
down, InterPressNews reports.
Levan Kalandadze confirmed his resignation in talks with InterPressNews.
Kalandadze said he and Irakli Lekvinadze submitted their resignation on November 8.
“It was our desire. The press service will comment on the reasons. I categorically rule out any political interference,” Kalandadze said.
According to him, Irakli Lekvinadze and he will likely continue working in the same field.
Georgia’s Business Ombudsman will be appointed by the Prime Minister.
