Interest in gambling is growing in Georgia from year to year as well as  the betting interest  in the totalizators.

There are no exact statistics showing how many people in Georgia regularly make bets, but the amount of bets amounted to  GEL 1.3 billion in 2018 which is 22% more than in 2017.

The annual turnover of the gambling business is also growing, and in 2018 exceeded GEL 10 billion and reached GEL 12.5 billion.

The overall picture in terms of gambling is more complicated, in totalizators  most  bets are made by local residents, whereas as for   casinos, the situation  is unclear. There are no data - how much Georgian citizens spend on other types of gambling, and how much foreign tourists who come in large numbers to the country to play in large casinos, which operate  in almost every 5-star hotels in Tbilisi and Batumi.
