Bank of Georgia accounts for 56% of the total deposit volumes

As of July 1, 2021, deposits in the amount of GEL 34.5 billion were placed in Georgian banks that is 2.5% and GEL 887.4 million more than in June.

In June, the volume of term deposits placed in banks decreased by GEL 746.5 million and 4.4%, volume of demand deposits - by 141 million or 0.76%.

In  6 months of 2021, Bank of Georgia is in the lead in terms of the attracted deposits volumes, it accounts for 56% of the total deposits.

Term deposits in the amount of GEL 7, 5 billion, and demand deposits in the amount of GEL 2, 9 billion are placed in Bank of Georgia, term deposits worth GEL 4, 9 billion and demand deposits  worth 4, 2 billion in TBC-Bank, in Liberty Bank- term deposits in the amount of GEL 864, 2 million and demand deposits in the amount of GEL 275, 7 million, in VTB Bank -  GEL 874, 1 million and GEL 200 7 million respectively, in “Procreditbank” term deposits in the amount of GEL 330.3 million and demand deposits in the amount of 350.9 million.


Deposits denominated in U.S. dollars account for  84% of  the total volume of deposits in foreign currency, euro denominated - 14.6%.
