90% of Georgian respondents did not travel to the Schengen area after granting visa free travel - NDI study

According to a study by the National Democratic Institute (NDI), 90% of respondents have not traveled to the Schengen area after granting  visa free travel in the spring of 2017. 

To a question: did you travel to any of the Schengen countries after granting visa free travel in spring 2017? - 90% of respondents gave a negative answer, 5% said they traveled once, 3%  traveled several times, 2% said they did not know.

When asked -  have you or your family members lived abroad for at least three months since  1991? - 73% of respondents said that they did not live, 25%  lived, 1% did not know, and 1% refused to answer.

 


The research was conducted from March 28 to April 15 in cities with  population of more than  40 thousand, namely  Batumi, Zugdidi, Rustavi, Poti, Gori and Kutaisi. NDI notes that the average error of the research results is within +/- 2.3%.
