According to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, 40-48% of flights operated
during the pandemic will be restored in
Georgia in the summer. Still, resumption of volumes of passenger air travel will be dependent on the epidemiological situation both in
Georgia and in the partner countries.
According to the head of
the Agency Levan Karanadze, on average 180-190 flights will be carried out per
week in 2021, during peak season - up to 290.
At the same time, the number of
carriers operating in the Georgian aviation market will reduce by 33% compared with the pre-pandemic period - as
of July 1, 2021 about 30 airlines will be actively operating in

before the pandemic in 2019, 45 airlines operated in Georgia, which performed on average 460-470 flights per week, during peak
