Georgian banking sector started the year of 2020 in profits of 92.7 million GEL
(01/2020) that is 35% more than last year (GEL 68.5 million profit
of 13 commercial banks).
According to Aleksandre Dzneladze, President of the Association of Banks of Georgia, the sector has got harmonized with the 2018/2019 regulations of the National bank of Georgia (NBG). As a result, commercial banks calculated profits based on the coefficient of adaptation.
Based on the ratings, Basisbank and ProCredit Bank have demonstrated the most balanced growth.
