Exports from Georgia Grew 28.3%

According to Geostat, in January-September 2017 the country's foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 7.5 billion, which is 12, 1% more than in the same period in 2016. Export accounts for  1, 9 billion (+28. 3%), imports - 5, 6 billion (+7. 4%).

Exports of  almost all types of Georgian products have grown- ferroalloys (+ 97%), copper concentrates (+ 28%), medicines (+ 35%), wine (+ 56%), mineral waters (16%).

In September, exports totaled $ 257.5 million that is  the highest figure since 2014.

According to the Ministry of Economy, positive trends are observed in other sources of currency. In particular, over the first 9 months of 2017, the number of foreign visitors in  Georgia increased by 19.3%, tourism revenues grew by 28.5% to $ 2.1 billion.

In addition, within 8 months of 2017 money transfers from abroad increased by 19%.
