According to preliminary information of the National Statistics Service, in August 2017 Georgia’s exports rose by 23% (+ $ 43.9mln) compared to August 2016, while imports dropped 6% (- $ 45mln).
In August 2016 exports rose $ 46mln compared to August 2015 but declined by $ 11.4mln compared to August 2014.
In August 2017 Georgia’s exports amounted to $ 236.1mln, imports - $699.7mln. Negative trade balance made $ 463.6mln that is $ 89mln more compared to 2016.
In January-August exports rose by 28.5% (+$ 373mln), while imports increased by 7.5% (+$ 345mln).
